We couldn’t find any real chat app that allows seamless communication with individuals who don’t speak the same language.
If we want to communicate with someone who doesn’t understand our language, we both have to go through the tedious process of copying and pasting messages into an external translation tool like Google Translate.
Additionally, sending voice notes to someone who doesn’t understand your language is nearly impossible. Then later on the idea with AI popped up when I started using more and more AI in my daily life and sometimes while coding with teammates, we are using a lot of technical terms and abstract concepts that’s not easy to understand, or we need to search for a quick solutions, at that time I was thinking it was too cumbersome to go to the AI website, copy the text and paste it back to my teammate in the chat app, however if I have AI right in the chat interface, we both can share and search info at the same time. That also makes our chat app different from a pure AI assistance.

We have personally encountered these challenges and observed others grappling with them too. In addition to our personal experiences, we conducted a small survey, and everyone we spoke to confirmed that they had faced this issue at some point in their lives.
Talckatoo’s first mission is to eliminate these language barriers. We can send our messages without worrying about the recipient’s language, and we ensure they understand what we are saying, including voice notes.
